The primary function of this position is to initiate the training of all new and transferring warehouse associates.This
includes recertification and annual training.
Provides the initial training of all new warehouse employees and all transfer associates.
Delivers continuing education and training for low-performing employees
Train and educate new and transfer associates to perform sewing operations as defined by the SOP and quality guidelines.
Responsible for assisting in the development and maintaining of training reports, etc.
Complies and maintains training documents and tools
Creates and maintains various associate lists
Provides weekly and monthly reports tracking the training progress of associates
Provides management and supervisors with necessary associate updates
Adheres to all company policies/procedures with new hires
Assist management and supervisors when determining associates' employment status
Responsible for distributing, keeping inventory, and ordering replenishment supplies for the operational areas.
Provides input and assist Engineering Department in the development and training of new methods
Assist in establishing and maintaining safety,housekeeping, and preventive guidelines in assigned areas
Responsible for timely reporting of problems in work area to appropriate personnel
Responsible for ensuring each job performed is within set procedural work methods
Conforms to all requirements of internal and external Carhartt customers
Responsible for completing SRT Certification.
Flexibility to meet training needs
Ability to train associates in all production areas, staying current on processes and procedural changes
Trainees are educated on job duties and quality performance standards
High School Diploma Required
1 to 3 years' experience as a Trainer or in a similar position preferred
3 years of sewing experience preferred.
Knowledge and ability to perform sewing operations preferred
Experience with various warehouse functional positions
High School Diploma Required

Ability to routinely lift up to 65 pounds

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
