Shipping/Receiving Clerk - 2nd Shift

The primary function of this position is to monitor and record all transactions involving incoming shipments. This includes coordinating with the shipping
department, working with the SAP System, and to accurately assist freight
associates in order to ship customer orders. This includes shipping door assignments, reconciliation of shipping manifests, and staging manifest for loading and removal of trailers from dock doors.
Assign and coordinate dock doors and yard assignments for trailers remaining on property
Responsible for the reconciliation of shipping manifests, shipping door assignment, staging manifest for loading and removal of trailers from dock doors
Coordinate with the shipping department to invoice and manifest all outbound loads
Process FedEx and USPS shipments and receive all incoming indirect purchases
Enter the goods receipt into the SAP System
Work with Accounts payable and PR/PO Clerk to handle discrepancies
Maintain accurate record keeping and report generation
Responsible for adhering to company policy and procedures
Handle confidential information professionally and exercise a high level of independent judgment
Assist in establishing and maintaining safety, housekeeping and preventative guidelines in assigned areas
Timely reporting of problems in work area to appropriate personnel
Ensure each job performed is within set procedural work methods
Conform to all requirements of internal and external Carhartt customers
Accurately reconciles shipping manifests, shipping door assignments, and stages manifest for leading and removal of trailers from dock doors accurately and in a timely manner
Maintain compliance with CTPAT (Customs Trade Partnership against Terrorism).
Ensure safety and security of all trailers on Carhartt property.
Receipt of goods and the respective data entry into SAP system
High School diploma or equivalent required
Intermediate computer skills. Microsoft Excel and Word preferred.
SAP experience preferred
Knowledge of CTPAT (Customs Trade Partnership against Terrorism) preferred
Distribution environment
Union environment / Non-union position
Piece work environment
Ability to routinely lift up to 65 pounds
Ability to deal with stress in a composed and constructive manner
Ability to adjust to doing multiple tasks
Ability to work in a job with precise tolerance and standards
Ability to read fine print for extended periods of time

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
