Warehouse Equipment Operator

Carhartt recognizes both Forklift and SRT Operators as warehouse equipment operators. The primary responsibilties of these positions include operating equipment to store and pull reserve inventory.
Locate big packs and cases into reserve storage areas
Pull big packs and cases for replenishment of picking areas
Locate and pull Pack and Hold orders
Moving pallets in reserve storage and the picking areas between pickup and delivery stations in preparation for stocking the picking areas
Moving pallets in receiving, reserve storage, and the picking areas between trailer unload and staging
Assist in establishing and maintaining safety, housekeeping and preventive guidelines in assigned areas
Responsible for timely reporting of problems in work area to appropriate personnel
Responsible for ensuring each job performed is within set procedural work methods
Responsible for adhering to company policy and procedures
Conform to all requirements of internal and external Carhartt customers
Self-motivator
Accurately perform all task required
High school diploma preferred
Average hand/eye/foot coordination
Ability to read fine print for extended periods of time
Ability to train and positively interact with other associates
Ability to adjust to doing multiple tasks
Ability to perform repetitive work according to set procedures, sequences, or pace
Ability to work in a job with precise tolerance and standards
Ability to lift up to 65 pounds
Possess skills in operating powered vehicle
Testing may be required for this job
Distribution environment
Air conditioned and non-air conditioned building
Union environment / union position
Piece work environment
Work at heights up to 65 feet
Safety requirements for the SRT Equipment: 300 pound weight limit.
